Last week we presented a few examples where nouns exhibit multiple meanings.  This particularity of the English language (and the Spanish language as well) is what linguists call “polysemy”. Polysemy occurs not only in nouns but in verbs and adjectives and conjunctions and all parts of speech in a given sentence.  Our Text translator Plus is designed to deal with Polysemy in all type of words, not only nouns, and in both languages, English and Spanish.

 

You may wonder at this point: “What the advantage of using the Plus Version if I can choose between the different meanings of any word using the Interactive System of the Professional Version as well”?

 

Our reply: The purpose of using a more sophisticated tool like the Plus Version is to simplify your work.  True, you can choose different meanings using the Interactive Mode available in the Pro Version, but using the Plus version you can take advantage of a program that does that work for you automatically in those cases where the program detects that there can be an important difference in meaning or an ambiguity in the translation.
