Tip #278 - Grammar & Syntax Tool for Subject and Predicate
Applies to All Products
Another greatly useful educational tool is the Grammar & Syntax button you can find in the upper toolbar, with the icon of a small chalkboard.

You can also find it when using the Interactive Translation feature, always in the upper toolbar:

When you click on it, the sentence you have in the upper box of your editor, the Source Text box, will be classified into the two main parts of the sentence dictated by traditional grammar: Subject and Predicate. They will be shown in the following colors: Blue for subject and Pink for predicate.

If you select the Subject upper button, the program displays all the parts pertaining to or that can be found in the subject, such as main subject, prepositional phrase, relative clause, verb, relative subject and second prepositional phrase.

On the other hand, if you select the Predicate upper button, the program displays all the parts pertaining to or that can be found in the predicate, such as verb, main object, prepositional phrase, relative clause, relative subject, prepositional phrase, adjectival phrase and adverbial phrase.

This educational tool is ideal for dispelling all those grammar doubts and clarifications right at home! |
